Manchester Water Taxi

Manchester Water Taxi wanted to shout about the launch of its new water taxi service. The aim was to increase the profile of the service ahead of the consultation phase of Manchester’s Local Transport Plan.
Rumpus took the project on with great enthusiasm, creating tailored press releases for Manchester-based journalists across both print and online outlets. 
Rumpus liaised with individual journalists and facilitated one-to-one interviews with the founder of Manchester Water Taxi. Rumpus also set up a
Facebook campaign to run alongside and support the PR activity.
Rumpus secured £50,000 worth of editorial coverage across the region’s leading press titles, including The Manchester Evening News; the Stretford and
Urmston Messenger and the Salford Advertiser. Bloggers also wrote about the Manchester Water Taxi and the campaign generated online communication through social media channels of Facebook and Twitter.
